We live in a free country, but sitting is mandatory. You think your office chair makes you look powerful but it actually makes you weak.
Many don’t realize that when sitting your back is pulled out of it’s natural position, pulling the bottom of your pelvis forward to tip it backwards. This overtime causes instability, weakness and eventually erosion of the small of your back which leads to pain.
So what can you do about it?
If you are not at the point of pain yet, preventative stretching and exercise can do wonders. If you are dealing with some kind of pain, it’s best to see a Physiotherapist to get on to the path of recovery.
If you sit for prolonged periods of time, come visit us and let’s see what you can do to avoid it.
Nothing wrecks the back like a chair!
